The cliffs of Moher

Am Samstag haben wir uns ausserdem noch die Cliffs von Moher angeschaut, ebenfalls im County Clare, eine der hoechsten Steilklippen Europas. Ein acht Kilometer langer Teil der Küste erhebt sich senkrecht um die 200m, am hoechsten Punkt sogar 230m, aus dem Atlantik. Fuer mich war es schon das zweite Mal, aber ein Debut fuer Vince und meine Mutter. Es war absolut hammer-windig. Ist schon witzig wenn einem der Wind buchstaeblich vorschreibt wo man lang geht und gut, dass der Weg mittlerweile ganz gut eingerahmt ist von Steinplatten sonst haette sich sicher der ein oder andere die Klippen mal aus einer ganz neuen, wahrlich einzigartigen, Perspektive anschaun koennen.

On Saturday we have visited the cliffs of Moher. It was the already the second time for me but a debut for Vince and my mother. It's a 8km long part of the coast in County Clare, 200m, at it's highest point even 230m above the ground. They are one of the highest cliffs in Europe and one of Ireland's most spectacular sights.

Samedi dernier on a aussi visité les falaises de Moher (Cliffs of Moher), situées dans le comté Clare. Elles sont impressionnantes du haut de leur jusqu'à 230m.
