St Patricks day / Maerzbesuch

Fangen wir mal mit Paddy's Day an. Edouard hat uns besucht und wir haben zum ersten Mal St-Patricks Day (17. Maerz) in Irland gefeiert. Angefangen hat es wie man es in Irland erwarten wuerde mit Regen... Zusammen mit vielen anderen Ungeduldigen standen wir etwas miesepetrig im Regen und warteten auf den Beginn des St.-Patricks-Zugs.

Trying to immerse as deeply as possible into Irish culture and exploring further fields of their daily life I "shared" the flu virus with (probably) more than 50% of the population the last weeks. But here I am again and there is lots to tell, starting with our first Paddys Day in Ireland. It began how you would expect an Irish National Day to begin - with rain.

So we waited together - slightly moody and unpaitent - with lots of others in windy and wet Shop Street for the beginning of the parade.

Es war ganz nett, sollte man vermutlich schon einmal gesehen haben wenn man in Galway wohnt,

waren auf den Beinen und haben alles gegeben.

Und danach, alle Mann ab in den Pub. Die waren natuerlich schon nachmittags gerammelt voll.
